Welcome to our Home Hunters International blog!!!
Home hunters and their realtors check out all sorts of architectural styles and work through the idiosyncrasies of buying real estate in other countries. In any language, home buying is an emotional experience and but International Home Hunters is more complex, it requires visas, job-hunting, health care and other support systems that need to be in place when you make the move from a country you have called home and are familiar with to a new Country.
According to RBC stats 97% of investment opportunities are available outside of Canada internationally these stats could soon include employment opportunities. Currently there is tremendous economical growth in many developing countries and regions and so it only makes sense that Canadians with good educations should look abroad for lucrative employment opportunities.
Many economist share the same notion and believe that by the year 2025, we will be seeing what looks like a world economy and people will be moving from country to country looking for employment and recreation opportunities just like people move between cities today. This is where education and work experience will be heavily weighted. More and more businesses are looking outside of their countries for companies to work with. In fact lately, myself along with my business partner Dee receive from time to time emails directly from companies in China requesting business opportunities.
One of the shows that I like to watch on the bube tube is “Million Dollar Listing New York”. The LA one is ok as well, however, I find the New York show more colourful. This is a show about three or four under 35 hot shot brokers who sell very expensive real estate in downtown Manhattan and they make it seem like flipping a 30 million dollar home is no more of a big deal that dropping $500 on a pair of Gucci Loafers. However you will have to watch for yourself to realize that just money won’t make you happy as these young hot shots make plenty of it however in next week’s upcoming show it will show a couple of the guys breaking down on national television about how difficult their lives are.
But I digress, I just wanted to give you a tiny morsel of why I watch the show, but the real reason I referenced the show is because on last week’s episode there was an apartment for sale at around 1.8 million and in this one agency. the broker owner had his people on the phone cold calling high networth individuals to sell these properties with a couple of chinese speaking agents sitting right in the office to translate if needed. And in that moment, I saw the future of business globally and for our company as well. The borders are coming down and this is an exciting time for everyone. Let the whole world be you market.
