Navigating the human experience

Many maps are static two-dimensional, geometrically accurate (or approximately accurate) representations of three-dimensional space, while others are dynamic or interactive, even three-dimensional. Although most commonly used to depict geography, maps may represent any space, real or imagined, without regard to context or scale; e.g. brain mapping, DNA mapping and extraterrestrial mapping. Maps evolve over time as more research in done in science and geography so do maps grow and evolve with new findings. This is much like the search engine Google.
Google Inc. is an American multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related services and products. These include search, cloud computing, software and online advertising technologies. Most of its profits derive from AdWords.
Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were Ph.D. students at Stanford University. Together they own about 16 percent of its shares. Larry and Sergey incorporated Google as a privately held company on September 4, 1998. An initial public offering followed on August 19, 2004. Google’s mission statement from the outset was “to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful”, and its unofficial slogan was “Don’t be evil”. In 2006 Google moved to headquarters in Mountain View, California.
Much like Maps, the Google search engine evolves with time and the development of the human experience on a daily basis. Ask yourself this question: If you were planning a long sailing trip would you embark on your journey without the use of a map as a guide to help you navigate the different ports, currents and tides? Like many of us today, Google acts as a guide for many of the decisions we make from what movie should we go to see to what company should we engage to do business with. Today there is a lot of information available online to help us make many social and professional decisions in our daily lives.
Our firm Nexonta Technologies Inc. has been operating since 2008 and we have seen Google grow and evolve over the years there is no telling what Google will look like 5 years from now however one thing is for certain and that is like maps to help us find our way on land and sea Google with be there to help us navigate the human experience.
