Getting Ready For Fall and Moving Up
31 August 2011
September is an incredible month. As the summer vacation ends, families come back from holidays, whether abroad or cottage-country, business owners resume full operations, and youth start preparing for the beginning of school. September smells fresh, looks new, and feels refreshed. Everyone is about to begin a year full of ups and downs, twists and turns, all leading to the next summer.
The excitement of new beginnings is sometimes unexplainable – the twinkle in kids’ eyes, the eagerness of entrepreneurs – but nonetheless motivating and inspiring. Just as students move up a grade level, business owners must move on to the next level – staying on the same track is not an option, otherwise the business suffers. As people’s mentality changes over the summer, the way a business markets itself must change as well. The most recent, and most effective, technique in the on-line marketing field is the use of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), which specifically targets people’s searches on the internet to achieve better results on search engines. Using tag keywords in websites’ page titles and descriptions as well as content improves visibility on Google search and, therefore, increases traffic to a site.
Changing a marketing approach is much like leaves transforming color – the beginning stage of implementing SEO requires research and site analysis, which takes time and an eye for detail. As soon as keywords are selected, the process is fairly quick and results in a great change to the site’s success. From green to all the various reds and oranges, leaves changing color in the fall is a sign for growth and movement. After an entire summer of just being, the fall is a season of doing – putting all thoughts regarding the growth of a business, or education, into action.
We wish luck and success to all the businesses and entrepreneurs out there with their operations and on-line marketing strategies!
