Connecting the Dots!

06 October 2011

In light of the passing of Steve Jobs, Founder of Apple Computer I found it only fitting to dedicate our next blog to his monumental contribution to our world. In his address to Stanford University back in 2005 Steve Jobs spoke about the most pivitol points in his life and how he followed his heart and lived a life challenging the status quo. Steve Jobs didn’t only give us Apple Computer, ipods, iphones, and ipads these are merely technological gadgets but he gave us a means in which to create a better frame work for the future and connect people from all corners of the world. The impact of of his company’s contributions have changed the way we communicate and do business forever. Obviously a visionary Steve taught us to look outside the box as to what can be as opposed to what is.

While on the treadmill this morning listening to the many praises being given to Mr Jobs for his boundless determination and leadership the question arised as to wether or not there would be a leader of his magnitude to carry on his vision and technological advancement of society and this made me wonder, I think that he has given us enough to work with, clearly having Apple surpass Exxon Mobil as the worlds largest company back in July Indicates that this technology has made it to many individuals homes and businesses. It is up to us as a society to take what has been given to us by this innovative visionary and start applying the technology developed by his company so that we can each try to make it a better world. I think this is the best way to honor Steve’s contributions.

Let’s not look for the next Steve Jobs, let’s follow his example and learn from the exemplary way that he conducted his personal life and his professional life and follow our hearts in order to help each other create a better future for our children. Not only did Steve Jobs give us the tools to create new industries and platforms to develop economically but he also provided a road map which is the way he lived his life for us to harness the power and inovation within all of us to trust our hearts and our imaginations and live a life without compromise. If one man can make such a huge contribution and touch so many people’s lives with his vision and technology we can all do our little part and contribute to our world in our own little way. I think this is the best way to honor a man who gave us so much. Time is the most valuable commodity, use it wisely.

Connecting the Dots.
