Welcome to Our New Year’s blog 2012

02 January 2012
It is a new year and a new beginning in all of our lives. This blog attempts to draw a correlation between the things that we say and the things that we do. Back in 2008 when the economy bottomed out and the market went sideways on Main St as well as Wall St., it has been a challenging time for many of us. The street has a short memory and we can probably expect slow growth over the next year as we start to look towards the future with hope and anticipation and stop looking back at the past with dread and regret. The human spirit is extremely resilient and it is that same spirit which has carried us through so many devastating times throughout history.

“Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what – Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.” ― Mark Victor Hansen, These are not just words that someone said at one point in their lives as they were going through challenging times. This is information that someone who was an achiever shared with us to help us do more with our lives.
Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success. Stephen A. Brennan, Love it! I have seen so many of these wonderful quotes that touch so many of us and give us that little extra encouragement to push harder or to work on ourselves to become that much better professionally and at home with our families. These are not just quotes, they are sound bites for life, at one point or another these people who gave us these wonderful quotes were going through the exact same feelings that the quotes were made to evoke in us.

In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility~ Eleanor Roosevelt . We have infinitely more power over our lives than we believe. The key is to believe in ourselves and our personal power will grow but we have to be our own people and not be influenced by the opinions of others and temporary circumstances. Life is challenging but success leaves clues and a lot of them are in the great quotes, don’t just read them – live by them because the great person who gave us the quote in the first place lived it and wanted to pass on the wisdom that is just as applicable to our lives today as when it was first said. Happy 2012 everyone and On to the next level!

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”~~Mark Twain
