This is what I noticed this weekend!!!
On my way to the gym this weekend I noticed a number of retail stores closing two months before the holidays. Traditionally retail stores would usually ride it out for the Holiday season and then close in January when things slow down but it would seem that many of these independent businesses are trying to take advantage of the Holiday shopping season with people trying to take advantage of going out of business sales to grab some great deals.

To be Big or to be Great – this is the question!!!
Behemoth suggested identities range from a mythological creature to an elephant, hippopotamus, rhinoceros or crocodile. Some creationists believe it to be a description of a sauropod due to its tail being described as like a cedar tree. Metaphorically, the name has come to be used for any extremely large or powerful entity.

Its almost Halloween!!!
Typical festive Halloween activities include trick-or-treating (or the related "guising"), attending costume parties, decorating, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, visiting haunted house attractions, playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films.

The only constant in life is Change
Change refers to a difference in a state of affairs at different points in time. Although it is a familiar experience, an analysis of change provides subtle problems which have occupied philosophers since the Presocratics. Heraclitus is the first philosopher known to have directly raised such issues, with aphorisms such as "one cannot step into the same river twice".

To be Rich or to be Happy
The definition of Rich is having wealth or great possessions; abundantly supplied with resources, means, or funds. And the definition of Happiness is the feeling pleasure and enjoyment because of your life, situation, etc. Today it would seem that it would almost come down to a choice.

Amazon launches a shopping device which comes with a phone!!!
This is a sign of things to come. Statistics show that when it comes to online purchases in the US there is only about 5% market penetration and while in Canada there is 2% market penetration when it comes to online shopping. What this means to retailers is that there is plenty of room to move in that space.

Keeping it Real
"The real McCoy" is an idiom and metaphor used in much of the English-speaking world to mean "the real thing" or "the genuine article", e.g., "he's the real McCoy". One theory for the origin of the term "The real McCoy is that railroad engineers looking to avoid inferior copies would request it by name, inquiring if a locomotive was fitted with 'the real McCoy system"

Kindness is the new Mean!
A random act of kindness is a selfless act performed by a person or people wishing to either assist or cheer up an individual person or people. The phrase may have been coined by Anne Herbert, who says that she wrote "Practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty" on a place mat at a Sausalito restaurant in 1982 or 1983.
